MD, fellow at the Neuroscience Academy Denmark
I am a medical doctor and a fellow at the Neuroscience Academy Denmark. After graduating from Tbilisi State Medical University, I started working in pediatric neurology, focusing on patients with epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disorders. In 2023, I was selected as one of the Neuroscience Academy Denmark fellows for a four-year PhD program in neuroscience. As part of this program, during my rotation at the Danish Epilepsy Center, I started working on a project describing clinical similarities in sodium channelopathies. I am particularly interested in exploring the genetic background and genotype-phenotype correlations in rare epilepsies and neurodevelopmental disorders, and plan to focus my research in this area.
