Ilaria Rivolta
Associate Professor at Milano-Bicocca University
Ilaria Rivolta is Associate Professor in Physiology and Vice-Dean at the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milano-Bicocca. Her background is in cellular electrophysiology and the research activity of Ilaria Rivolta’s group concerns cell and system physiology especially in the field of membrane excitability. Over the years, her studies have mainly focused on the characterization of the physiological and pathophysiological role of ion channel activity. By means of electrophysiological recordings on in vitro cells, she investigates the pathogenetic mechanisms responsible for cardiac, muscular, and neuronal channelopathies.
